Registration

For our Winter Sessions, players must be registered and all fees paid prior to the first player evaluation session. Players are not required to try-out however, only the first 80 registrations will be accepted. No exceptions!

Player Evaluation Session

Although players are NOT required to tryout, we do hold Player Evaluation Sessions to help with team selection.  All players will be evaluated based on their fundamental basketball skills and knowledge of the game. These evaluations will be used solely for the purposes of team selection.  Player information will be not be shared with any outside parties.  For the Winter Girls (5th-8th), the Evaluation Sessions will be held January 15th & 17th at 5pm. For the Boys (9th-12th), the Evaluation Sessions will be held February 19th & 21st at 5pm. All Evaluation Sessions will be held at HSB Academy Court in Meridian.

Practice Schedule
All TV80 teams will have one practice session weekly.  Actual days and times will be determined following the team selection process.  Please note practices will be held at HSB Academy Court and Capital Church in Meridian.  Practice times are scheduled to run between the hours of 4pm and 6pm Monday – Friday and 6pm-8pm on Wednesday.

ABOUT The TV80

Are TV80 sessions co-ed?

TV80 Sessions are not co-ed.  Girls and Boys sessions will run separately.  The girls winter session begins January 15th, 2019.

Is There A TV80 For High School Players?

Yes!  We are excited to announce we have added a high school TV80 Session to our winter schedule.  The high school league will kick off February 19th, 2019.

How is the TV80 different?

As promoted, the TV80 is the Treasure Valley’s first and only premier youth basketball league.  Unlike other leagues the TV80 offers superior training, world-class instruction, live stats, small team size, and most unique of all a 30 second shot clock.

Do I have to be a member of Axiom to play in the TV80? 

No, TV80 sessions are open to the public and no membership at any of the respective facilities is required to participate.

What if I’m just a beginner?

The TV80 is committed to working with athletes of all ages and athletic abilities.  Our staff is trained to accommodate all skill levels to ensure that every participant gets the most out of their experience.

Can We Bring Or Create Our Own Team?

No!  Only TV80 selected teams can participate in TV80 Sessions.

How Are TV80 Teams Selected?

Following the evaluation session players will be selected and placed on one a team through a draft process.  This is to ensure that TV80 teams are as fair and competitive as possible.

Can Players Be On The Same Team As Their Friends Or Siblings?

Although it is possible that friends or siblings could be drafted to the same team, specific requests for this will not be granted.

When Will Games Be Played?

With the exception of holidays, games will be played on Saturdays at HSB Academy Court in Meridian.

Do you offer discounts for families?

Due to the overwhelming demand for these spaces we currently do not offer any type of family discount.

How are TV80 sessions priced?

TV80 sessions are priced to be as affordable as possible.  Current fees equate to just above $13 / hour.

How does the TV80 select its coaching staff?  

Our TV80 staff is comprised of former NBA, NBADL, CBA, International, and NCAA coaches and players.  Selected from all over the country and the world, our coaches provide every participant with the highest level of education possible, through their wealth of knowledge. Their commitment to the game and to this program, allows players to leave with a truly unique experience.

What is the staff to player ratio?

The TV80 prides itself on its commitment to quality. To ensure all campers receive the most from their experience, we provide one coach for every eight players.[bg_faq_end]

How do I register my child for the TV80?

Is there a registration deadline?

Yes, each TV80 session does have a registration deadline.  Please note, registrations are accepted on a first come first served basis and sessions do fill up quickly.

Are discounts or scholarships available?

Discounts and scholarships will be available to those in need. To seek financial aid, please fill out our online scholarship request form.

What is your refund / cancellation policy? 

Cancellations of any kind and for any reason will be refunded as a TV80 credit. Credit is valid for any TV80 session offered within one year of the date of original purchase and is transferable to a family member or friend.

Do you offer payment plans?  

Yes!  TV80 sessions fill up quickly due to space limitations.  Therefore we have made payment options available to parents needing the flexibility.  You can choose the payment plan option in your Shopping Cart during checkout.  

Train, Develop & Play Like An Actual Pro

Games will be played on Saturday’s at HSB’s Academy Court, a state-of-the-art training and competition venue in Meridian, featuring a full size NBA court.

Carson Sofro

Carson Sofro…HSB Academy’s Co-Founder and Director, Carson Sofro (Ketchum, ID) has dedicated his life to the development and betterment of thousands of student athletes. A decorated collegiate standout and semi-professional athlete, since 2007, Sofro has trained, mentored and impacted more than 25,000 young men and women throughout the western United States. Recognized by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2010 for his dedication and drive to serve others, his programs have helped raise more than $450,000 for children and educational institutions in need.

Michael Quinney

Following in the footsteps of his mentor Howard Gamble, Michael Quinney (Oakland, CA) has committed his life to serving and mentoring an up and coming generation. A highly touted high school, collegiate and professional star, Quinney was destined for playing greatness before a slew of knee injures sidelined his career. Switching from player to coach, Quinney has spent much of the last decade coaching, teaching and training thousands of athletes hosting various camps and leagues as well as holding the head coaching position at Oakland’s Technical High School.
